Term 3 Week 7

Thank you to those who completed their speeches.  Congratulations to Selma who was placed 3rd for the Middle Team Speech Competition last week.  I will post her speech very soon including some of those who just missed selection.

Just a reminder that book bags need to be at school each day and taken home every night to ensure your child is reading at least 30 minutes to or with someone.  

When giving out homework on Friday, most students had left their books at home so please remind them to bring homework books to school.  

HOMEWORK:  

1.  Why is the zoo a special place in our community? due Wednesday 3 September

2.  What is your favourite place in the community and why? (school, library, hospital,          church, bank, mall, zoo) due Wednesday 3 September

3.  Choose a New Zealand bird and find information about it  (habitat, what does it eat,        describe its beak and feet, enemy, predator)
